UV LED Curing is a recently developed technology designed to improve the speed, performance and capabilities of a wide variety of curing applications. LED curing is expanding into sectors of the printing and coating market. Adoption of LED curing technology is most readily seen in areas that a small curing area is needed or the presence of heat in the curing process produces problems. The first part of this article contains overview of UV LED lamps and also the technology. The second part of this series provides challenges and benefits of UV LED lamps and also the comparison of LED and mercury lamps. This article will also focus on understanding and measuring the output of UV-LED. |
