PapierIndex. décimale : 667.4 Encres Résumé : Non-impact printing is a process that is wides pread in use and grows daily. Though, in comparison to other printing processes, it is relatively immature, the rapid growth in popularity it has demonstrated over recent years has allowed it to reach into both the industrial and office environments.
This report discusses the wide format sector of the digital printing processes available today, in particular inkjet. 'Wide format' can be considered to comprise print widths from 24' to 60', therefore other inkjet sectors such as small office/home office (SOHO) desktop printing (perhaps the process we are most familiar with) dominated by the likes of Hewlett Packard and Canon, and industrial coding and marking will be discussed only briefly.
It is woth mentioning that wide format printing is frequently viewed from a distance unlike document printing from a Xeikon for example, and so the relative print quality is often lower - a five metre print from an airbrush machine can be as low as 12 dpi but perfectly acceptable as a vinyl print on the side of a vehicle. Its durability in a truck wash and 5 years out in the elements are the most important factors.Note de contenu : - INKJET INTERACTION : The media - The printing press - The print head
