Temps de cycle (production)Index. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Current developments indicate: supply chains have become fragile and near-shoring or reshoring is regaining importance. Many companies have successfully demonstrated that with fully automated production, many products, including rapid medical tests can be produced in Germany just as cost-effectively as in the Far East. Sanner and automation specialist MA micro automation create attractive conditions even for smaller batch sizes. An assembly cycle time of 750 milliseconds per test is a help in achieving this manufacturing capability. Note de contenu : - Sophisticated assembly process

TricotIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Polyamide fibers need to be sufficiently flame-retardant for the use in textile applications. Flame-retardants containing halogens and coating fibers with those is a common practice, although it has some severe disadvantages. Inherently flame-retardant polymers, which are processed along with polyamide to form blends and subsequently spun into fibers, provide an attractive alternative. Note de contenu : - Reduced incline to produce droplets
- Flame-retardance demonstrated successfully

Véhicules électriquesIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Long fiber thermoplastic compression molding is suitable for the production of components with large surfaces such as battery enclosures for electric vehicles. However, these components place high demands on the material used. Not only must it have good mechanical properties, it must also be flame retardant. Two resin grades specially developed for the process meet these demands, thereby permitting the substitution of thermosetting SMC molding materials for the manufacture of such components. Note de contenu : - Increasing demands for battery enclosures
- Same mechanical properties in spite of flame retardants
- Tensile strength remains at same level after aging-
- Competitor for SMC molding materials
- Fig. 1 : During the D-LFT process, polymer and additives are mixed in the first compounder, and reinforcing fibers are introduced and wetted by the polymer melt in the second compounder

- Fig. 3 : Notched impact strength of two PA66’s compared with PP-GF30 and PA6-GF30: at 23 °C, the flame retardant PA66-GF50 achieved similar values as the non-flame retardant PP-GF30
- Fig. 4 : Tensile elastic modulus and tensile strength of Mobius NPD 555 FR GF30 and GF50 compared with PP-GF30 and PA6-GF30 at 23 °C and 80 °C: the GF30 version achieves values that are at least as good as the other two polymers – the GF50 version exceeds them clearly
