Mesure -- Méthodes statistiquesIndex. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : The distribution characteristics of the formaldehyde (FA) content of fur products produced in Tongxiang City over three consecutive years (2014-2016) were analyzed by the Lilliefors test, quarterback robust statistical method, and kernel density estimation. The bootstrap simulation sampling method was used to calculate the upper confidence limits (UCL) of the exposure point concentration (EPC) of FA. The robustness and rationality of the UCL estimation were verified by the distribution of the mean value of each bootstrap sample dataset. The results showed that their distributions were close to normal distribution but were highly skewed. The one-sided 95% UCL on the mean were 95.45 mg/kg, 93.02 mg/kg and 86.64 mg/kg, which decreased year by year. The Wilcoxon rank sum test indicated that the population distribution of the FA content in 2016 showed a structural improvement over those of the previous two years. Titre : Removal of aromatic organic acids from aqueous solution by using chrome leather waste as an adsorbent Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Zhang Mina, Auteur ; Xuepin Liao, Auteur ; Jiang Sujie, Auteur ; Bi Shi, Auteur Année de publication : 2008 Article en page(s) : p. 62 - 67 Note générale : Bibliogr. Langues : Américain (ame) Résumé : Chrome leather shavings were used to prepare adsorbent for removal of aromatic organic acids from aqueous solution. Benzoic acid, o-, m-, and p-phthalic acids, salicylic acid and p-hydroxyl benzoic acid, which are common pollutants in waste water, were used as adsorbates in this study to investigate the sorption behavior of the adsorbent made from chrome leather waste. It was found that the sorption capacity of aromatic organic acids on the adsorbent depends largely on the molecular structures of these compounds. The sorption capacity of o-phthalic acid on the adsorbent was as high as 2.8mmol/g in experimental conditions, and that of salicylic acid was around 0.41mmol/g. However, no significant sorption was observed in the case of benzoic acid. Sorption isotherms of aromatic organic acids are typically non-linear ones, and can be well fitted by adsorption-partition model. The contributions of adsorption and partition to total sorption of these compounds on the adsorbent were quantitatively described. It was found that, for o-phthalic acid, the function of partition is predominant, and for p-phthalic acid, adsorption plays a key role. As for m-phthalic acid and salicylic acid, the contributions of adsorption and partition to total sorption depend on the concentration of adsorbate. Those results demonstrate that this adsorbent can be applied to remove aromatic organic acids from wastewaters in a wide range of concentration. Effects of temperature on the release behaviour were investigated. The formaldehyde emission model in sealed system was established according to the law of mass transfer under several reasonable assumptions and verified by the fitting of actual release data.
The results showed that formaldehyde emission could be divided into three stages : the linear free release, barrier release and chemical release stages. The linear release .time inversely correlated with mass transfer coefficient of leather. The temperature had a significant promotion impact on release during linear release time. The higher the temperature was, the faster the formaldehyde release. Different types of leather showed different release characteristics because of porosity. The average release speed for sheepskin was faster than that of cowhide at the same temperature. However, with the increase of temperature, the increase in the rate of release speed of cowhide was greater. From 30°C to 60°C, the speed for sheepskin increased 19.39% for every increase of 1 degree Celsius by average, and that of cowhide increased 29.92%.Note de contenu : - EXPERIMENTAL SECTION : Materials - Pretreatment of leather samples - Procedure for the determination of formaldehyde emission by the HPLC method - Determination of porosity of leather by carbon tetrachloride permeation method - SEM observation - Effect of temperature on release behaviour - Release kinetics of leather
