The core-shell polyurethane/polyacrylate composite emulsions (PUA-5, PUA-6) as well as interpenetrating PUA composite emulsions (PUA-7£¬PUA-8) were prepared by seeded emulsion polymerization, the aliphatic anionic aqueous PU dispersions were used as seed particles, glycidyl methacrylate was used as the bridge of core and shell in second stage polymerization. A study using different finishing applications for pigskin garment leather was carried out with the aliphatic anionic PU dispersion, the core-shell and interpenetrating structure PUA hybrid emulsions as film forming agents. The wet rub fastness, solvent resistance, flex resistance, adhesive fastness of the coating in finished leather were measured respectively. The results are as follows: (1) the anionic PU dispersions, the core-shell and interpenetrating PUA composite emulsions showed good film forming, good covering grain damage and mending properties, and strong adhesive force to leather. The finished leathers were soft, flat, smooth, non-sticky and their grain patterns were clear; (2) The interpenetrating PUA is better than core-shell PUA and the core-sell PUA is better than the PU dispersion at wet rub fastness, solvent resistance, adhesive resistance. Both PU dispersion and core-shell PUA were better than the interpenetrating PUA at flex resistance by comparison. Titre : Synthesis, application and comparison of aqueous polyurethane Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Shuling Chai, Auteur ; Lihong Fu, Auteur ; Huimin Tan, Auteur Année de publication : 2008 Article en page(s) : p. 191 - 199 Note générale : Bibliogr. Langues : Américain (ame) Index. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : A series of aromatic and aliphatic cationic aqueous polyurethane dispersions were successfully prepared with polypropylene glycol, polypropylene polyol, toluene diisocyanate(TDI), and isophorone diisocyanate(IPDI) as raw materials. The structure and properties of the synthesized aqueous polyurethane dispersions were characterized with FTIR, UV spectra, TEM, DSC, TGA, electronic tensile machine, and the aliphatic and aromatic cationic aqueous polyurethane were compared. Both the aliphatic and the aromatic cationic aqueous polyurethanes are all two phase structure systems. Their two glass transitions took place in the range of-100°C to +220 °C, respectively corresponding to the glass transitions of soft segments and hard segments. Their thermal decomposition also exhibited two stages, respectively corresponding to thermal decompositions of hard segments and soft segments. The strong Pi-Pi* transition absorption peaks took place when X was in the vicinity of 220nm. With the increasing of isocyanate (NCO) group content, the tensile strengths of the films increased and their elongations at break decreased. The particle morphologies of aromatic and aliphatic dispersions both are spherical. They both could be used as the base sealing of pig leather. They also could be used in the sandwich finishing system for pig garment leathers. Compared to the aromatic cationic aqueous polyurethane, the aliphatic series is lower at the glass transition of hard segments, better at photo-resistance; greater in the elongation at break, and lower in tensile strength. The aliphatic cationic aqueous polyurethane can be used as the finishing system of shallow color pig leather or white pig leather, and its UV spectra did not show a characteristic B absorption peak. Titre : The inducement and modulation of collagen fiber on crystal morphology of calcium carbonate Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Lihong Fu, Auteur ; Shuling Chai, Auteur ; Cheng Jingqiu, Auteur Année de publication : 2009 Article en page(s) : p. 204-209 Note générale : Bibliogr. Langues : Américain (ame) Index. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : Based on the fundamental principles of biomineralization, a CaCO3/proteins composite can be synthesized by biomimetic synthesis under dynamic conditions, using collagen fiber as the matrix. The inducement and modulation of collagen fibril on the crystal morphology of calcium carbonate was studied. The crystalline structure and polymorph of calcium carbonate at different mass ratio of [Collagen fiber]/[Ca2+] was characterized using X-ray diffraction(XRD) and refined with Rietveld method. The microstructure parameters, such as the lattice strain, bond length, crystallite size (A, B and C), density of calcium carbonate cell, were calculated to characterize the crystalline structure of calcium carbonate at atom level. The polymorph of calcium carbonates can be changed by the [collagen fiber]/[Ca2+] ratio. The degree of super-saturation and number of nucleation have greater influence on the lattice strain, the lattice strain positively correlates to crystallite size nonlinearly. The crystals face, being a more perfect face and with minor defects, had greater stability. By increasing [collagen fiber]/[Ca2+] ratio and crystallite size rise, the vitality of calcium carbonate enhanced.
