Résumé : |
A fast, safe, environmentally benign and flexible technology offers solutions to a variety of adhesive and coating curing challenges, some of which cannot be solved in other ways. Using this technology, Xenon Corp. has solved adhesion problems for car makers, medical device manufacturers and other companies with tough curing problems. This curing equipment eliminates management concerns of exposing employees to toxic substances or harmful radiation. It is also a time-tested technology in use for over two decades: pulsed ultraviolet curing. The technology uses special solventless formulations that crosslink on exposure to ultraviolet (UV) light. The material cures rapidly without the use of microwave radiation. These formulations for adhesives or coatings are supplied as liquids, but contain no volatiles. The liquid totally converts to a solid on curing. This means the user need no longer be concerned about using or disposing of solvents and meeting the environmental regulations that cover solvents. The lack of microwave radiation eliminates the need for microwave shielding (although not for UV shielding) to protect workers. |
