Résumé : |
The development of a new methacrylate adhesive offers an excellent alternative to two-component epoxy and urethane adhesives. Physical properties, adhesion to plastics and metal, and environmental durability are comparable or, in many cases, superior. Performance surpasses that of typical second generation adhesives, offering increased peel adhesion and improved impact resistance at low temperatures. Good fatigue resistance was observed up to one million cycles, with fatigue limits in excess of 1,200 psi. As such, the new mathacrylate is expected to become a proven performer in structural marine and transportation applications. |
