Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Borohydrure de sodium Le tétrahydruroborate de sodium, aussi appelé borohydrure de sodium, est un composé chimique constitué d'atomes de bore, de sodium et d'hydrogène. Sa formule brute est NaBH4.
C'est un agent réducteur utilisé notamment dans l'industrie pharmaceutique en tant que source d'hydrures H-. C'est un solide blanc, souvent rencontré sous forme de poudre.
Le borohydrure de sodium absorbe l'humidité de l'air (il est hygroscopique). Il réagit avec l'eau et dégage lentement du dihydrogène, un gaz inflammable/explosif. Selon la classification européenne des produits chimiques, il est enregistré avec la phrase de risque R14 "réagit violemment au contact de l'eau". Le produit se décompose à plus de 400 °C sans fondre. Sa décomposition est violente et exothermique avec l'eau.

The films have been obtained by adding an oxygen scavenger (either sodium borohydride (NaBH4) or zinc oxide (ZnO)) into a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) matrix during the extrusion process. In order to investigate the activity of the scavengers used, the produced films have been subjected to permeability measurements. It was revealed that NaBH4 – though a strong reductive agent – didn’t cause any degradation in matrix polymer but served as an ineffective oxygen scavenger as in the case of ZnO. Système de libération contrôlée (technologie)Index. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : In this study, nonwoven fabrics were coated with two different ammonium sulfate fertilizer loadings (27.75% and 55.50%) by using two different poly(vinyl alcohol) types (high and low molecular weight). The poly(vinyl alcohol) coating amounts were adjusted to 60 and 120 g/m2. In order to study the effect of poly(vinyl alcohol) crosslinking on fertilizer release, a glutaraldehyde (GA) crosslinking agent was used in two different ratios (GA/PVOH ratio: 0.01 or 1). A concentration of 0.01 GA was insufficient for PVOH crosslinking, and water absorption capacity was reduced with increasing poly(vinyl alcohol) and glutaraldehyde loading amount. Fertilizer release was affected mostly by molecular weight and loading amounts of poly(vinyl alcohol) and fertilizer. It was possible to achieve controlled fertilizer release when the nonwoven fabric was coated at 120 g/m2 with high molecular weight poly(vinyl alcohol) containing 55.50% ammonium sulfate fertilizer in the absence of glutaraldehyde. Different montmorillonite types of clay (Resadiye and Rockwood) were modified using different intercalating agents, and poly(ethylene terephthalate) nanocomposite filaments containing 0.5 and 1 wt% organoclays were prepared. Afterwards, the filaments were dyed with two disperse dyes (Setapers Red P2G and Setapers Blue TFBL-NEW) at different temperatures (100, 110, and 120 °C) in the absence/presence of a carrier. Organoclays and poly(ethylene terephthalate)/organoclay nanocomposites showed an increased d-spacing between clay layers. Irrespective of clay and surfactant type, poly(ethylene terephthalate)/organoclay nanocomposite filaments dyed at 120 °C in the presence of only a very small amount of carrier showed appreciable dyeability in comparison with neat poly(ethylene terephthalate). The dyeability of the organoclay-containing poly(ethylene terephthalate) samples was found to be better in spite of having increased degrees of crystallinity. Moreover, the colour fastness properties of the clay-containing samples were not affected adversely. Transfert par sublimationIndex. décimale : 667.3 Teinture et impression des tissus Résumé : Sustainability, being a recent buzzword, has been given an increasing emphasis in all industry fields, especially in the textile industry, since it is one of the main contributing sectors to resource consumption and thus environmental pollution. Among them, coloration of textiles should be paid special attention due to offering enormous savings in terms of sustainability. Within all fibres, cotton, being one of the cellulosic fibres, has been the most widely used material alone or together with poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET). Therefore, we focus on the coloration of cellulose-based fibres and its blends with PET in this review. There is only one single coloration technique at the intersection of sustainability and coloration, that is, sublimation or heat transfer printing, because it is the most eco-friendly approach for the coloration of textiles. There are many studies on this issue, in which either cellulose, that is, cotton, or the transfer paper is modified/treated. In spite of many attempts for sublimation printability of cotton and its blends with PET, they still have problems in terms of sustainability that limits its applicability. In light of ever-increasing sustainability issues such as Agenda 2030, new developments are yet to be expected for achieving sustainable coloration of cellulose-based textiles and their blends. Therefore, it is high time to revisit the sublimation printability of cellulose-based textiles, to mention the latest developments considering nanotechnological advancements, and to give a future perspective in this field. ViscoseIndex. décimale : 667.3 Teinture et impression des tissus Résumé : The aim of this study was to carry out triple dyeing of woven polyester/cationic dyeable polyester/viscose rayon blend fabrics with the required colour fastness and physical properties. The feel and final appearance of the fabric were achieved by partial removal of the viscose rayon moiety of the fabric through optimised causticisation treatments. The results of the triple dyeings obtained from laboratory and small-scale experiments were successfully scaled up in authentic processing equipment. The final product, which has a yarn-dyed effect, readily satisfied the requirements related to the colour fastness and physical properties. Note de contenu : - Materials
