Résumé : |
Electrospinning is a versatile technique for the fabrication of continuous polymeric nanofibers with diameters ranging from a few micrometers to a few nanometers. This is the most extensively used fabrication method to manufacture the nanofibers into several constructive forms such as non-woven textile mats, oriented fibrous bundles and dimensional structured scaffolds. These materials, due to their enhanced properties, have applications in specific areas like in technical textiles, medical textiles, protective materials, energy storage devices, agriculture, electricals and optics, etc. Cellulose being an abundant, biodegradable and biocompatible polymer, creates great interest among the researchers. The wide range of applications also creates great scope for cellulosic nanofibers in nanotextiles. This study deals with the past and present research of electrospinning of cellulose and future scope of the same. |
