Résumé : |
During production of carbon rovings and their further processing into fiber reinforced composites, rejects of carbon filament production and edge cut-offs of crimp and non-crimp fabrics are obtained. These rejects are used for generating new, high-quality materials, which are suitable for applications in fiber reinforced composite technology. Within the CAMISMA project an aerodynamic nonwovens production technology was developed and used to continuously produce C-nonwovens [1]. One focus lies on the comminution and characterization of C-fiber length. The comminution process was tested using 3 different cutting units. To determine a method for C-fiber length characterization, 3 different methods were compared. |
