EB curing of our adhesive systems provides high performance adhesives. With regard to the polymer 222 results and when compared to UV curing, yields a more uniform crosslinking of the adhesive later and better maintains aggressive tack. The liquid polymer adhesive formulations cured by EB develop attractive properties when containing cationic photoinitiators. In this way, the feasibility of achieving high performance with the KLP adhesive systems is demonstrated. Furthermore, with both adhesive systems presented here, the advantage of crosslinking is demonstrated by retention of adhesion at elevated temperatures. |
