Résumé : |
The destruction of nature caused by excessive exploitation of forest resources has been considered to be a significant issue for a long time. And these days, many counter-plans to prevent global warming have been undertaken in various fields.
In Japan, one of the measures for resolving these problems, the "Container Recycling Law," was enacted in 1995.
As mentioned above, under the administrative leadership, a lot of effort has been taken to promote recycling in each field. Especially in the recycling of waste paper, such as used newspapers and magazines, where presently more than 50 percent of used papers are recovered and reused effectively, owing to a long-term effort and enthusiasm.
However, in order to increase the proportion of the recycled paper to total produced paper, it is necessary to expand the present recycled paper usage that is occupied by paperboard to paper, except paperboard like printing and information paper area where higher quality is required. But in that case, the property of collected waste paper to be recycled becomes highly important because it will essentially affect the qualities of the aforementioned recycled paper usage.
For this reason, there is a growing need for improvement in the quality level of recycled paper in proportion to recycle rates. |
