Despite its sucess, the foam industry is not always a cushy job. Like any other business that relies on adhesives and sealants, people who work in foam fabrication are always looking for a glue that is both reliable ans environmentally safe. The foam fabrication industry has traditionally relied on faster-drying solvent-based adhesives, many of wich contain methylene choride. Because having drums filled with solvents in the same factory as foam can use some safety risks (including fires), Federal Foam Technologies (FFT), an Ellsworth, wis.-based foam fabrication company, now uses 3M Fastbond Foam Adhesive 100. |
