Résumé : |
The development of new polymerization reactions is of vital importance for polymer science. Living/controlled polymerization techniques have enabled the synthesis of a large variety of different well-defined (co)polymer structures. In addition, the use of click chemistry in polymer science is a quickly emerging field of research, since it allows the fast and simple creation of well-defined and complex polymeric structures in yields that were previously unattainable.
In this review, the term click chemistry and the reactions that fall under this term are briefly explained. The review focuses on the application of click chemistry in con junction with living radical polymerization for the synthesis of advanced macromolecular architectures. Hence the living radical polymerization (LRP) techniques with the overview of click chemistry in the different synthetic schemes are in focus. A large number of examples are shown that include the synthesis of block copolymers, star-shaped polymers, surface modified particles. |
