Water soluble epoxy resins were synthesised from epoxy resin and maleopimaric acid using different weight ratio. There after, pigmented coating compositions were prepared using water soluble epoxy resins and titanium dioxide as pigment. These coating compositions were characterised and evaluated for mechanical and chemical film properties. The results show that all the coating compositions had good film properties and they may be used as industrial coatings.
