Résumé : |
The properties of textile fibers change due to the impact of different external influences. The bibliographical references and information of the manufacturers with regard to the resistance of fibers are very sketchy. On the basis of currently available data the selected fibers cannot be compared with each other directly with regard to their resistances to external influences. One assessment criterion for the structural degradation of the fibers due to temperature changes and dew point shortfalls, fluctuations in oxygen concentration, high nitrogen contents or several aggressive constituents such as HCl, K2SO4 and SO2, is the fiber strength. For application in flue gas cleaning after the thermal combustion of renewable energy sources, several fibers were investigated. Analytical methods and changes which occured in fibers are described below using selected examples. |
