Résumé : |
A novel approach to multicolour technology offers surprising uses, such as paint with a stone-like effect. It is based on a gel of a synthetic layered silicate and a natural smectitic clay. High-resolution SEM images reveal astonishing structures and for the first time show the unique structure-effect principle by which the clay mineral gel stabilises the paint droplets. |
