The mode of production of customised industrial paints is quite different from traditional bulk production. It calls for much effort in terms of market information, pre-sales service, after-sales service, stock of wide range of suitable materials, control of over-production quantities etc. All these eventually are translated into management issues which are the challenges faced by such manufacturers in addition to the usual issues of quality, price and delivery lead time. Such management issues need to be well taken care of failing which manufacturers will find a lot of hard work but very little reward at the end of the day. |
