Résumé : |
The digital image analyses method is capable of objective and reproducible measurements of print mottle. The results of the scanner calibration test show improved consistency in the mottle values between different scanners. This would allow many locations to have their own analysis station without compromising a "universal" measurement. The mottle measurements of the Heidelberg standards correspond to the visual ranking. The robustness of the scanner method was shown by tests of prints on different substrates. Finally, a modified version of the analysis shows that halftone prints can also be tested. The method described here shows good agreement with the Tobias mottle tester. |
