Polyéthylène téréphtalateIndex. décimale : 677 Textiles Résumé : The draw-textured yarn (DTY) industry shows a clear trend towards microfilaments and dope-dyed products. Therefore key components of textile machines have ta be adapted to meet increasing demands from customers such as the automotive industry. Next generation ceramic friction discs show improved properties comparable to PU discs and thus meet there high standards. Note de contenu : - Fig. 1. Spindle with solid ceramic components

Polyéthylène téréphtalateIndex. décimale : 677.4 Textiles artificiels Résumé : Structural properties of PET filament largely depend on the several factors such as yarn types, filament, fineness and shapes etc. which are the detrimental factors considered for the extent of deformations. The draw ratio, heater temperature and post spinning operations decide the nature of the filament and its applicability. This work was carried out to determine the structural difference between partially oriented yarns (POY) and draw-textured yarns (DTY). For both the types, PET was considered to be the base material. The manufactured POY package was processed on draw-textured machine with standard settings, processed POY denier was 160/144 and it was observed for the testing of tenacity, elongation and boiling water shrinkage. Favorable transformation of cheaper and stronger flat filament feeder yarn structure to favorable crimpy/bulky yarn structure was an added gain of this production process. All the samples also showed good crimp associated properties. Thus newly designed draw-textured fancy yarn will add considerable value along with added comfort to apparel textiles as well as home furnishing. Index. décimale : 677.4 Textiles artificiels Résumé : The production and finishing potential of filament yarns is nearly exhausted on the machine side. Higher production speeds are almost impossible to achieve and the automation possibilities are also virtually exhausted. In addition, energy costs continue to rise in most countries. As a result, the focus is increasingly shifting to cost savings through reduced resource consumption. Compressed air is one of the most expensive resources, both in filament spinning and in the ATY (air textured yarn) and DTY (draw-textured yarn) downstream processses. Thanks to the latest air-jet components from Heberlein AG, energy savings of up to 30% can be achieved with the same production values compared to older jet variants. This high savings potential makes it possible to amortize investment costs in the shortest possible time. Note de contenu : - Air savings in filament spinning
