Here are the results.
The inaugural ILM Green Innovator Survey was designed to gauge the leather industry's perspective on sustainability issues, expectations for the future and thoughts on some of the leading "green" products and services, with those receiving the most survey respondent
nominations highlighted on page 22. The survey had a wider net than the annual ILM Tanner Business Confidence Survey, in order to bring in perspectives from across the whole leather supply chain. As a result, just 33% of the total respondents were leather manufacturers. This was followed by 20% of the total responses coming from chemicals suppliers, 11% from consultants and NGOs, 8% from raw material suppliers and traders and 6% each from machinery/technology suppliers and brands, retailers and OEMs. Bringing up the rear, 5% came from research and technical institutes, 4% of respondents noted that they were from academia, with 2% from trade associations and 1% from product manufacturers. Finally, 4% answered Other for this question. Now that we have an overview of who responded to this survey, let's dive into the results.Note de contenu : - Q1 - Do you think the tanning industry has become greener (more sustainable or environmentally conscious) over the past year ?
