Revêtements:PeintureIndex. décimale : 535.6 Couleur Résumé : In recent years, structural colors have attracted great attention in a wide variety of research fields. This is because they are originated from complex interaction between light and sophisticated nanostructures generated in the natural world. In addition, their inherent regular structures are one of the mort conspicuous examples of non-equilibrium order formation. Structural colors are deeply connected with recent rapidly growing fields of photon ics and have been extensively studied to clarify their peculiar optical phenomena. Their mechanisms are, in principle, of a purely physical origin, which differs considerably from the ordinary coloration mechanisms such as in pigments, dyes and metals, where the colors are produced by virtue of the energy consumption of light. It is generally recognized that structural colors are mainly based on several elementary optical processes including thin-layer interference, diffraction grating, light scattering, and photonic crystals and so on. However, in nature, these processes are somehow mixed together to produce complex optical phenomena. In many cases, they are combined with the irregularity of the structure to produce the diffusive nature of the reflected light, while in some cases they are accompanied by large-scale structures to generate the macroscopic effect on the coloration. Further, it is well known that structural colors cooperate with pigmentary colors to enhance or to reduce the brilliancy and to produce special effects. Thus, structure-based optical phenomena in nature appear to be quite multi-functional, the variety of which is far beyond our understanding. Pigments nacrésIndex. décimale : 667.2 Colorants et pigments Résumé : Pearlescent pigment is a type of effect pigment. It is obtained by coating metal oxide on laminar flat surfaces such as natural mica. Different metal oxides are used to prepare pearlescent pigments, such as titanium dioxide, iron oxide, zirconium oxide, chromium oxide etc. Substrate selected can be either natural or synthetic. Between the two, natural mica is widely used substrate to prepare pearlescent pigments. But nowadays synthetic mica and borosilicateglass are also used to prepare pearlescent which provide brilliant sparkling effect. Pearlescent effect is observed as the result of multiple reflection, refraction and diffraction phenomenon. When mica is coated with titanium dioxide, a silver colour pearlescent pigment is obtained. As the thickness of TiO2 coating increases, because of the interference effect the colour changes from silver to yellow to pink to blue to green. The coating of iron oxide on mica results into bronze, copper and wine red colours as the thickness of the coating increases. When mica is coated with titanium dioxide and iron oxide together, a gold colour pearl pigment is obtained. Pearl pigments are available in the various grades depending upon the particle size. Pearlescent pigments are used in paints, plastics, papers, and automotive industry. One must follow some basic guidelines to use pearl pigment in plastics. In contrast to absorption colours, there is a trick in mixing colours to get desired colour in pearl pigment. Solvants écologiquesIndex. décimale : 660 Technologie chimique (chimie industrielle) et techniques connexes Résumé : The uses of hazardous and toxic solvents in paint laboratories and in paint industries are considered a very crucial problem for health and safety of workers and environment. Majority of solvents are organic chemicals with harmful and toxic properties, large waste part of by-products of the chemical industry causing environmental and health problems, but its uses are important. So, it is better to prevent voc and minimize waste than to face problems and treat or clean up waste after it has been created, therefore, it is widely acknowledged that there is a growing need for more environmentally acceptable processes in the chemical industry.
The trend towards what has become known as Green Chemistry' or Sustainable Technology', necessitates a paradigm shift from traditional concepts of process efficiency, that focus largely on chemical yield, that assigns economic value to eliminating waste at source and avoiding the use of toxic and/or hazardous substances.
The review paper is mainly based on the Green chemistry, which places both company profitability and ecological health at the heart of innovative product design and manufacturing. It uses the creativity of nature's biological processes to create molecules, materials and processes that are safe and high-performing.Note de contenu : - SUSTAINABLE GREEN CHEMISTRY : Economic - Materials - Waste

Le second groupe en importance de matériaux en silicone est celui des résines de silicone, formées par des oligosiloxanes ramifiés ou en forme de cage (wiki).Index. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : - Graffiti and posters pasted all over walls, fences, bridges and tunnels cause a great deal of harm year after year - cleaning them off is complicated and expensive, ant the unwelcome defacement and its removal can damage buildings and cause them to lose value. The Association of German Cities assesses the damage caused by graffiti in Germany at more than 200E million annually, while property owners estimate the cost to be twice that much. In the United States, data provided by the Department of Justice indicate the cost of graffiti removal to be some twelve billion dolars per year.

RhéologieIndex. décimale : 667.6 Peintures Résumé : There is always a dispute between consumer and supplier about viscosity of paint.
Viscosity changes with temperature. About that we have already discussed and easy reckoner chart was given.
Another reason is difference of viscosity with respect of B4 cups because all cups are not calibrated by competent authority.
To obtain the certificate for standardization the cost is approximatel Y 5-6K.
In a paint industry minimum 4-5 cups are required by different departments.
Hence use of certified B4 cups in each department is not affordable. For this author has derived this graph of calibration for easy access, therefore the company needs to buy only ONE certified B4 cup.
This graph can be printed, laminated and can be given to all.En ligne : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1qmRAakQMblaT8Tggj2GFy5jDga2oKpgC/view?usp=drive [...] Format de la ressource électronique : Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=28466
