An effective equivalent weight for collagen has been determined based on this study. By comparison of the determined effective equivalent weight with the calculated value the type of local Coulomb’s interactions and also the type of the polyelectrolyte complex formed have been predicted. The results support the fact that the polyelectrolyte complex formation of the pendent—pendent type occurs.
This has been substantially confirmed by elemental analysis.Note de contenu : - Table 1 : Effective equivalent weight of gelatine F2—2 fraction calculated from the results of its homogeneous reaction with Kortan FB oligoelectroly
