Résumé : |
With the scanning electron microscope it is possible to reach high magnifications of for example x20,000 and the greater depth of field makes this instrument particularly useful in the examination of leather and finish surfaces and the fine structure of leather.
A variety of specific faults, e.g., finish faults, surface stains, grain surface damage and poor leather break have been selected for this paper in order to demonstrate the versatility of this microscope and how it is used in the investigation of leather faults. |
