Langues : Anglais (eng) Index. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Acrylic polyols with different hydroxyl value were synthesized by solution and suspension polymerization techniques by using butyl acrylate (BA), methyl methacrylate (MMA), styrene and hydroxy ethyl methacrylate (HEMA). These polyols were crosslinked with butoxy methyl-melamine in presence of acid catalyst.
The practical performance properties of crosslinked acrylic melamine coatings were evaluated. The mechanical properties, tensile properties, water vapor permeability, corrosion and chemical resistance properties have been studied. The results indicated increased crosslinking and glass transition temperature (Tg) with the increase of hydroxyl number in the polyols.
