The natural cellulose materials are the most abundant renewable resources in the world, among which the plant fibers in a wide variety of forms are predominantly used as the leading materials in textile applications. Cattail (Typha spp.) is a plant that thrives in wet soil (e.g. marshes, draining ditches) and on the borders of water basins like lakes, old river beds, and ponds. Short, fluffy fibers are obtained from the cylindrical flowers of cattail plants, Typha latifolia and Typha augustifolia. Cattails are found in wetlands and swampy areas. Typha is an iconic wetland plant found all over the world. The cattail fibers are used for filling pillows, upholstery, and life jackets. Note de contenu : - Cattail fiber
