The millenium will bring new challenges. The environment, both natural and competitive, will ensure that technical perfomance will not be the sole arbiter of product development. Maintaining the environment at a cost that is bearable whilst delivering acceptable performance is a challenging and, for successful companies, an attainable goal.
This paper will look at the consequences of reducing the environmental effect and some of the means available for raw material suppliers and coatings producers to develop compliant coatings, whilst strengthening their competitive position. |
