Driers are known for their role in the drying of inks. The presence of a different drier not only enhances the drying but also affects the mass tone of ink particularly in light colored inks. Thus it is essential to know which drier is present in the ink to check is quality. Thus, here we have explained how to determine which drier is present in the ink chemically. It is a little known fact that in addition to drying, drier also helps to attain the ink – water balance at the pressroom. The mechanism of this ink – water balance is also explained in this article. |
