Revêtements en phase aqueuse:Peinture en phase aqueuseIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Low viscosity and regulatory compliant (tin-free) prototype offers a robust single-coat spray usage for wood coating applications and ensures the formation of mirror-like coatings with a good hiding power.
A new high-solids and solvent-free radiation curable polyurethane dispersion has been developed for high gloss applications with excellent DOI. The product has an excellent colloïdal stability (shelf life of 12 months) and complies with VOC-free, tin-free and stenomer-free requirennents. Due to its low viscosity and its good responsiveness to rheology modifiers, it can be easily applied by spray, roller or curtain coating operation. Its value-in-use was optimised by significantly reducing polymer flow after drying and before radiation curing. The product can be advantageously applied in one single coat and enables one to get rid of sanding step required in between topcoat layers with former products applied in two layers. The cured coating exhibits good chemical and scratch resistance required for high-end wooden furniture top coats — although it can aise be used for other substrates and applications.Note de contenu : - The creep measurement

Matériaux -- CuissonIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : How lightweight multi-substrate body design and low bake coatings are drivers for innovation and a challenge for coating technology.
Driven by a strong move towards sustainability, vehicle body design is going through a radical change. In response to this, Axalta Coating Systems has been looking at ways to meet the challenges that these new lightweight materials are presenting.
Increasing pressure from regulatory bodies has been put on the automotive industry to move towards more sustainable materials and processes. For several decades, regulatory requirements, such as reduction of organic solvant omission, overall CO2 reduction and increased fuel efficiency, have prompted the coatings industry to develop new, ecologically sustainable coatings, like high solids or waterborne materials and consolidated systems, such as primer-less, two-wet or three-wet systems. In order to reduce the overall weight of the car body, the OEMs want to increase the usage of lower weight materials, including aluminium and magnesium and polymeric substrates. Paint shop processes and materials need to be adapted accordingly. In the case of polymeric substrates, the baking temperatures for the coating hardening processes need to be lowered.Note de contenu : - The implications of lightweight body design

Travailleurs -- ProtectionIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : How work continues to ensure that users are kept fully aware of all hazards associated with 2-pack isocyanate coatings.
The commercialisation of the first poly-isocyanates in 1952, following the polyurethane research by Otto Bayer and his colleagues in the late 1930s, was undoubtedly one of the most significant steps in the history of industrial chemistry. Although the initial focus was on the use of this technology in fibres and flexible foams, their introduction into the world of coatings and printing inks soon followed and we have enjoyed the benefits to using isocyanate chemistry in our industry for more than 50 years. As we know, the versatility and robustness of this chemistry is unsurpassed — it has become an essential part of the industrial coating formulator's toolkit, for protecting metal and plastic (especially clear, durable topcoats for outdoor applications) and for flooring and wooden furniture.En ligne : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1V1MUC-dNVPnUysHoVJWM_BV6iBfOk0dC/view?usp=drive [...] Format de la ressource électronique : Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=24919

Titre : Structural and performance attributes of the new orange and yellow tin pigments Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Simon K. Boocock, Auteur Année de publication : 2015 Article en page(s) : p. 34-37 Note générale : Bibliogr.

ZincIndex. décimale : 667.2 Colorants et pigments Résumé : Significant developments in high chroma pigments and provides some understanding of the mechanism of colouration within these new classes of pigment.
Within the past decade significant developments in high-chroma orange and yellow pigments, based on solid-state tin chemistry, were introduced to the peint and plastic marketplaces : These are a zinc stannous titanate often referred to as Rutile Tin Zinc (variously typified as Pigment Yellovv 216, or as Pigment Orange 82) and Pigment Yellow 227, a zinc sulphide doped stannous niobium pyrochlore.
All three of these pigment chemistries use divalent tin, Sn(II), as the primary chromophore. Beyond that similarity there are key differences in allowed composition. The rutile tin zinc (RTZ) pigments have two general compositions. There is only one composition commercialised for niobium tin pyrochlore yellow.
There are now seven orange or orange-hued tin pigments available to the marketplace, of which our company makes two. Given the larger number of RTZ (or related) pigment offerings I'd like to begin by discussing how they might differ from one another, chemically, in ternis of properties and in terms of their structure.Note de contenu : - Rutile Tin zinc and related pigments - elementary considerations
