Résumé : |
The most weatherable architectural coatings on coil and aluminium extrusion substrates are typically based on poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) resins, combined with other ingredients including selected ceramic-type inorganic pigments. The pigments provide opacity and colour, and mixed metal oxide (MMO)pigments are especially preferred. Both the PVDF resins and these inorganic pigments are extremely resistant to solar ultraviolet (UV) light, as well as to common environmental chemicals including acids. Optimised PVDF masstone (solid colour) formulations have already demonstrated that colour change after 25 to 30 years of Florida exposure is minimal. |
