Résumé : |
DDriven by the increasing demand for technical and medical PET filament yarns within the titer range of up to 300 dtex, processes and means were explored which permit manufacturing of tailor-made special yarns in small lot sizes. Because LOY (low oriented yarn) can neither be sorted for a longer time, nor easily transport, it is not available to the smaller filament yarn processors as raw material. Usability of PET POY (partially oriented yarn), both as standard product and with higher viscosities, as storable and widespread alternative to LOY was examined in the present AiF project (IGF 15566 N). The effects on the yarn characteristics of the yarn heating method during drawing were analyzed e.g. with saturated steam instead of a heated godet. The results are now a part of a retrieval system. The DITF Denkendorf offers its application to enterprises. |
