The automobile industry demands excellent surface finishes. Paint manufacturers must steadily improve their coatings to match the demands of car producers. Additives to improve flow and levelling are essential for the development of new formulations with better appearance. To accomplish this task, they act at the interface of the air and the surface coating. Further, the additives must not have any impact on the technological properties. The adhesion or stonechip resistance, for example, must not be influenced by additives. |
