There is considerable interest for the use of composite materials in the aerospace, defence, automotive and renewable energy industries. Material characterization is a crucial point to be investigated thoroughly when designing new complex structures.
CETIM (the French Technical Centre for the Mechanical Engineering Industries), backed by a wealth of experience and know-how, is developing new metrology systems to understand the behaviour of composite materials. |
