The appropriate choice of soft segments for the synthesis of PUR binders allows for a broad spectra of paint properties. a,w-Polymethacrylate diols represent a new class of macrodiols which successfully combines positive properties of ester and acrylate structures in one single macrodiol. Depending on the formulation, the following benefits can be shown: higher hardness, better flexibility, good humidity stress resistance, improved hydrolysis resistance, better weathering resistance. Note de contenu : - Synthesis of a,w-Polymethacrylate diols by selectively end group transesterification
- MALDI-TOF-mass spectrometry determines the differences in reactivity
- Linear soluble polyurethanes based on a,w-Polymethacrylate diols
- Synthesis of the polyurethane dispersions
- Formulation of the coatings
- Test methods
- Significant influence on final properties depending on the polymethacrylate diol
- High selectivity of end group transesterfication
- Easily reacted into polyurethanes
