Curing power coatings with UV light instead of heat opens up new possibilities for powder coatings in a wider range of applications. Thanks to the fast curing cycles and low temperature requirements, UV powders offer interesting benefits, including time, space, energy savings, high productivity and the possibility to work on heat-sensitive substrates. A range of resins especially for UV curable powder coatings has been developed . The coatings based on these offer a combination of attractive appearance and good protection on substrates such as Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) and metal. |
