The consumer expects that the coating of the car he bought does not lose its good appearance due to degradation of the scratch and mar resistance after only a short time period in service. Therefore, this paper focuses firstly, on the influence of weathering on the scratch and mar resistance and secondly, on changes in the visibility of the scratches under the influence of the weather. Examining a series of modern PU clearcoats natural and artificial weathering was applied before and after the scratch test. Scratching was carried out using two different scratch techniques. In comparison to other essential coating properties the scratch and mar resistance was the property that was most detrimentally affected by the weathering. Note de contenu : - Results of weathering before scratching (pre-weathering)
- The higher the hardness the lower the scratch and mar resistance
- Results of weathering after scratching(post-weathering)
- The ability to reflow get lost increasingly with increasing duration of pre-weathering
- Interaction of scratches and acid deposition during post-weathering
- Correlation between the results of artificial and natural weatheringEn ligne : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1kwn_T0C0TZIHNsz4isPOXn86pC1P6Fvx/view?usp=drive [...] Format de la ressource électronique : Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=10944
