Plastic components are widely used in automobile assembly, especially for the interior components of vehicles. In these applications, plastic components have almost completely replaced metallic components. The reasons for this preference include the increased design freedom offered by plastic components, weight reduction possibilities, and the improved safety of occupants that is offered by plastic components in the event of an accident. |
