Résumé : |
A recent article by the UK Chartered Institute of Management Accounts highlighted the growing importance of water as a natural resource. They highlighted that 40 % of the world's population lives in moderate to high water stress areas. Theyalso published facts from the UN that indicated that 40 % of fortune 1000 companies described the effect a water shortage would have on their business as 'severe or catastrophic'.
Water, after the air that we breathe, is our next most precious commodity ; life cannot bu sustained without it. Tht total amount of water on earth has not changed ; the water our ancestors drank tousands of years ago is the same water that falls as rain today. However, with 83 million more people in the world each year the water demand will continue to increase. |
