Polymères en émulsionIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Acrylate latex is widely used in coating film forming agents, textile printing and dyeing adhesives, daily chemical products, medical polymers etc. However, the drawbacks of the acytate, such as poor water resistance, easy brittleness at low temperature and losing adhesion at high temperature have limited its further application. Thus, it is necessary to modify the latex to widen its application. Nowadays, more and more attention has been focused on nanometre-acrylate composite materials, such as silicon dioxide, titanium dioxide, alumina, zinc oxide etc, which have been used in emulsion polymerisation to improve the properties of acrylate latex because of the particular properties of the nanometer materials. In this paper, the modification of acrylate latex with nanometer materials is reviewed in detail, which can bring some inspiration to modification of the acrylate latex. The study initially focuses on the dyeing properties of the dyed silk fabric, followed by the reflectance and emission spectra. The results show that the sorption isotherms are the Langmuir type and the dyed silk fabrics using DHEASPBr-C4 have an obvious fluorescent effect in the spectral range 570–720 nm, while their peak locations of ca. 590 nm in the emission spectra are under the excitation of 365 nm. Finally, the CIE coordinates of the dyed silk fabric are discussed in order to investigate further potential applications. Revêtements en phase aqueuseIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : The modified latex was successfully prepared by semi-continuous seeded emulsion polymerisation with a green mixed emulsifier of polyether nonions with double bonds (AE-100) and alkyl alcohol polyether sodium sulphate anionic emulsifier (ES-430S). The mixed monomers of MMA, BA and vinyl triethoxysilane (VETS) were initiated with potassium persulphate (KPS). The structure and properties of the resultant latex were characterised by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and contact angle (CA). The conditions for preparing the latex were instigated in detail. Results indicate that the optimal conditions of preparing the latex are as follows: the amount of mixed emulsifiers is 6.0% ; the optimum mass ratio of AE-100 to ES-4305 is 1:1.5 ; the amount of initiator is 0.7% ; the mass rate of main monomers of MMA: BA =1:1 and amount of VIES is 6.0%. In addition, the resultant latex shows good thermal stability and hydrophobicity. Note de contenu : - EXPERIMENT : Materials - Preparation of modified latex - Characterisation
