Langues : Anglais (eng) Index. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Exterior durable powder coatings based on ?-hydroxyalkylamide cross-linking agents are able to fulfil the most severe requirements for weathering resistance, corrosion protection and mechanical properties. The cross-linking kinetics and the rheological behaviour of a thermosetting powder coating depends on the composition of the base resin and the molecular structure and functionality of the crosslinking agent. Compared to the eixting ?-hydroxyalkylamide cross-linkers, the new product exhibits reduced reactivity in the first phase of the reaction without any significant changes to the overall curing process. The period of low viscosity or "open time" is increased, resulting in improved visual properties. Higher gloss, superior flow and blemish free coatings at higher film thickness are possible.
