However, the molecular mechanisms of CoQ10 function in skin cells are not fully understood. In this paper, we compared the effects of CoQ10 on primary human dermal fibroblasts from three individuals, including adult. We demonstrated that CoQ10 treatment promoted proliferation of fibroblasts, increased type IV collagen expression and reduced UVR-induced matrix metalloproteinases-1 (MMP-1) level in embryonic and adult cells. In addition, CoQ10 treatment increased elastin gene expression in cultured fibroblasts and significantly decreased UVR-induced IL-1α production in HaCat cells. Taken together, CoQ10 presented anti-ageing benefits against intrinsic ageing as well as photo damage. Interestingly, CoQ10 was able to inhibit tyrosinase activity, resulting in reduced melanin content in B16 cells. Thus, CoQ10 may have potential depigmentation effects for skincare. Impression jet d'encreIndex. décimale : 667.6 Peintures Résumé : Digital C-type prints are produced not in the conventional way by exposure to light through a film negative, but by exposing a digital file using red, green and blue lasers, or light-emitting diodes in a much tighter matrix than most mini-lab systems, creating higher definition prints. The use of lasers as the light source produces a wide array of continuous tones on silver halide photographic paper (available from Kodak, Fuji, Ilford and Agfa), with key advantages being higher D-max levels and smoother gradation than non-laser printers. In essence, laser technology delivers a purer light to the silver layers of the photographic emulsion, with the overall result being cleaner and richer colours. However, just like mini-lab systems, the papers are developed using the RA-4 wet chemistry process. C-type continuous tone photographic media prints are ofter referred to by their trade names, ie Lightjet (Océ Lightjet), Lamda (Durst Lamda), or Chromira (ZBE Chromira). This type of printing has become a preferred printing method for photographers due to claimed archival properties, and is particularly popular for exhibition purposes.
