Rapports techniquesIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : Cosmetics are regulated in the European Union by Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009. The main objectives of this regulation are to create a set of rules that ail cosmetics comply with and to ensure a high level of protection for human health. One of the requirements of the regulation is that prior to placing the product on the market a safety assessment is carried out. The regulation specifies that this safety assessment should be in the form of a cosmetic product safety report. This article is intended to give an insight into what needs to be considered when carrying out a safety assessment and preparing a cosmetic product safety report.

Résistance à l'humidité:Résistance à l'eauIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : In terms of consumer wellbeing, sunscreens are almost certainly one of the most important products to come under the personal care umbrella. Their role in protecting skin from the sun's harmful rays saves lives across the world, while also contributing to the rise of anti-ageing and skin lightening products.
Sunscreens have been produced since the mid-1940s, and the range of active ingredients used has developed over the years. There are currently about 30 UV filters in use, each with different areas of strength and levels of photostability.
Following are some of the latest ingredients on the marketplace to help formulators create the next line of leading sun care products. Increasingly, protection against UV radiation is moving from a niche section of the industry into everyday skin care, which opens up a range of formulating options, including protection for hair.En ligne : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Y5F-RxM1xG6fQtwXkK7peEs4WDcolHSJ/view?usp=drive [...] Format de la ressource électronique : Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=20774

Produits hydratantsIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : We have shown that although being well known for a long time, polyglyceryl esters still have potential for the development of novel and improved solutions combining true sustainability and excellent performance. The innovative oil-in-water emulsifier polyglyceryl-6 stearate (and) polyglyceryl-6 behenate was developed to deal with today's formulation challenges especially regarding low-viscous systems like lotions or sprays. The emulsifier is able to stabilize various systems containing demanding ingredients like water-soluble UV filters or electrolytes. It further tolerates organic acids at low pH values which is a crucial requirement for natural formulations. Its overall performance in ail the mentioned systems is outstanding. Thus, the emulsifier polyglyceryl-6 stearate (and) polyglyceryl-6 behenate is a versatile and flexible tool for formulators to realise cosmetic products for many different applications. Besides efficient emulsion stabilisation this completely natural emulsifier can contribute to more sustainable emulsions. Furthermore, it supports light skin feel, mildness and moisturisation properties of cosmetic formulations. Note de contenu : - Structure and properties

Produits de beauté masculinsIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : It has recently been said that the long awaited growth in men's grooming product sales is starting to take hold. A combination of greater product efficacy and a graduel change in attitude towards taking pride in one's appearance has seen greater acceptance of a wider range of personal care products aimed at men. Some of this may be driven by an increased pressure on men to retain their looks and compete with younger people as men and women continue to work later into life. Holding on to youthfulness has typically been a pressure on women, but with an unusually long period of global economic uncertainty and with it a rise in divorce rates, men have perhaps found themselves needing to stave off the ravages of time more and more.
Beyond shaving products, deodorant and aftershave this new market has the potential to grow and eventually match that of traditional women's skin care. But why should the products differ at ail beyond their marketing strategy?
The relative differences between men and women have been the subject of discussions for thousands of years, but their attitudes towards using cosmetics and personal care products are as much to do with nurture as nature. However, men and women's skin differ in a number of ways, both as a result of their composition and the daily challenges they face. Understanding and recognising these differences will help formulators develop future men's grooming products that truly benefit male skin.Note de contenu : - SKIN COMPOSITION

Soins de beauté masculinsIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : As soon as the bandwidth on the internet became wide enough to cope with images comfortably, women started using it to talk to each other about their clothes and their makeup. Fashion and beauty blogs started to appear and have continued to do so. There are now more beauty blogs than anyone can count. There must be hundreds of thousands of them just in the UK alone.
All this activity has had a huge effect on the way personal care products are marketed. Nobody in this business can afford to ignore what is going on online. In some cases new product lines owe their very existence to the new media. But it has to be said that most of this activity has focused on, and in fact has been carried out by, women. Men have certainly taken to the online world as enthusiastically as women have, but they have not been as quick to use it to talk about their appearance.
Nonetheless the male equivalents of beauty blogs have appeared. It was not obvious what they should be called at first. Male beauty blog did not really sound right. Men's blogs, by analogy with men's magazines, was not quite right either. Eventually the term grooming blog has emerged.
There is no more a standard format for grooming blogs than there is for beauty blogs, although there is a tendency for greys rather than pinks in the colour schemes. Men's preference for the less colourful is easy enough to satisfy. What content they might be tempted by is less obvious.Note de contenu : - THE ROLE OF WOMEN

When it comes to men's facial moisturisers, rather than simply reducing the oil phase content and viscosity of conventional formulae, we can start the design work by considering some of the key differences between male and female skins (which is looked at in-depth on page 39), and building the facial moisturiser accordingly. Produits de beauté masculinsIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : Grooming products specifically designed for the male consumer — from skin care to hair care and shaving — are a booming part of the global personal care landscape. No longer limited to bar soap and deodorant, men's grooming regimens are growing increasingly complex and becoming more personalised. While this segment is still in its infancy, sales of men's grooming products will hit $3.2 billion by 2016, up from an estimated $2.6 billion in 2013, according to Chicago-based research firm Mintel.
Currently estimated at 8% of the global personal care market, the men's grooming segment showed strength and resilience in the recent, difficult economic environment, and it continues to grow rapidly and in all regions. The hair care market represents the second largest category in men's toiletries (behind antiperspirants/deodorants) and increased sophistication in product offerings has boosted the category significantly.
Looking specifically at hair styling products, in order to guide innovation and product development, it is essential for brand owners to fully understand the valued product attributes that resonate with the male consumer. Applications development teams at AkzoNobel Personal Care's global technical centers established that product acceptance and preference varied greatly by global region. To create formulations specifically designed for men's needs, and devise marketing strategies appealing to their unique preferences, it was critical to understand how users in different regions engaged with the products and how their regional origin guided their perceptions of the products.Note de contenu : - Focusing on 'mal fundamentals' worldwide

Sensibilité cutanéeIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : Every day more people realise that they present sensitive skin and its annoying symptoms and that a normal skin can easily become sensitive due to exposure to certain daily agents. Thus, enhancing the natural mechanisms of protection and directly reducing the distressing consequences of sensitive skin would certainly ameliorate skin and personal comfort.
Lipotec provides four active ingredients that help to reduce sensitive skin effects and prevent them. Through different
mechanisms of action, both Delisens peptide (via PAR-2 activity) and Telangyn peptide (via LL-37) specifically decrease diverse alterations induced by sensitive skin, like itching, pain, flush, redness, dilated capillaries and the potential hyperpigmentation. In order to increase normal skin protection from sensitising, Bodyfensine peptide and Thermostressine peptide reinforce the cutaneous natural defensive mechanisms along with the response towards stressing situations that may cause severe cellular damage.
Therefore, this group of active molecules is not only thought to help sensitive skin sufferers to gain comfort but also decrease the risk of normal skin turning into sensitive by increasing the already present protective mechanisms of the skin.Note de contenu : - Changes in sensitive skin

According to Euromonitor, it will grow at about 13% per year in Asia Pacific during the next 5 years.
Skin lightening has been quite popular in Japan for a considerable time but the whole Asian market is actively following the trend. The whitening cosmetic market is growing rapidly in China (33% of the Chinese population use lightening cosmetics daily or weekly). Asian women are using these products to lighten their naturally dark skin colour. However, European and American women are using 'brightening' products to reduce age spots, acne scars and freckles, for instance. There is a continuous demand for innovative and efficient products, able to act both instantaneously and in the long term.Note de contenu : - Active for a long-term brightening
