Robots industrielsIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : A new paint shop for wheels at SuperAlloy Manufaktur allows for a flexible and efficient coating process. The flexibility of the system is the result of the wheel database, which contains all the information and masking instructions for the wheels and all the process and target data. Note de contenu : - Robots and automatic conveyors
- Pre-treatment in a system with 13 zones
- Powder coating in fully air conditioned booths
- Application efficiency of around 80 percent
- Fig. 1 : Robots and automated conveyors give the paint shop a high level of flexibility
- Fig. 2 : After the coating process, the wheels are transferred to the spindles of the powder oven conveyor
- Fig. 3 : Before the base coat is applied, the wheels are heated in an oven with infrared heaters
- Fig. 4 : An articulated robot with an axial two-part outer gripper transfers the wheels from the powder oven conveyor to the paint conveyorPermalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=32050

Métaux -- DécapageIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Alloy wheels with coatings are often stripped using concentrated sulphuric acid. However, the aggressive liquid can penetrate into the microstructure of the metal and have a negative impact on the quality of the subsequent coating. By contrast, a gentle coating removal process causes much less damage to the substrate. Note de contenu : - Short stripping times accompanied by material damage
- No damage to the surface of the metal
- Additives compensate for fluid losses
- Acid-activated formulations for even stripping effect
- Fig. 1 : Parts of rims after stripping : Gentle alkaline paint stripper at 120°C, sulphuric acid at 80°C ; gentle acidic paint stripper at 80°C
- Fig. 2 : The surface of the alloy after the removal of the coating in a gentle alkaline paint stripper at 120°C
- Fig. 3 : After the removal of the coating in sulphuric acid at 80°C, the surface of the alloy is covered with silicon particles. Different enlargements are shownPermalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=35081
