MicellesIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : Micellar washing is the latest trend sweeping the beauty industry; it involves using a special micellar water to clean hair. Micellar water takes its names from tiny particles of oil called micelles and it is these micelles that attract the dirt to gently remove residue without stripping moisture from the hair. While micellar cleansers offer ease of use and quick benefits, they also have added features for women who suffer from sinsitivity - Mintel research shows that 24% of UK women who experience sensitivity have used micellar cleansing waters. Micellar water has been popular in facial skin care for being a no-rinse cleanser product. The products embody a 'less is more' message because they contain fewer ingredients, which is what consumers are looking for. With its gentle cleansing capabilities, hair care brands can look to the success of the facial skin care category to utilise the same framework in shampoo and other hair treatments. shampooingsIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : This research explores the hair care benefits of hydrolyzed jojoba esters ; an ingredient most commonly used in skin care formulations for its film-forming attributes and ability to fix small, active molecules (e.g. glycerin, titanium dioxide, and dihydroxyacetone) on the skin surface for long-lasting effects. It is difficult to find natural ingredient options that function similarly to silicones and quaternary nitrogen compounds, which are often used in hair care products to provide color and heat protection, reductions in wet and dry comb force, or frizz control and shine. A series of ex vivo, vehicle-controlled, double-blind studies were performed to characterize the performance benefits of incorporating hydrolyzed jojoba esters into rince-off shampoo and conditioner products. The results indicate that hydrolyzed jojoba esters indeed have a beneficial effect within rince-off hair care applications. They remained deposited on the hair after rinsing, and were able to provide the following statistically significant benefits : reductions in wet comb force and frizz, less hair dye fading, and increased consumer perception of healthy appearance of hair, volume, smoothness/sleekness, overall product performance, frizz management, shine, softness, and hair hydration. Hydrolyzed jojoba esters offer formulators an effective natural alternative to provide functions and benefits traditionally produced by synthetic compounds. Formulation (Génie chimique)Index. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : Moisturised, full-bodied hair is the Holy Grail, but a lot of people suffer with dull, dry, and damaged hair. It is often because the protein bonds in the hair itself have become broken due to excessive chemical hair treatments which result in the hair being weakened and in tum snapping. Damaged hair craves protein to replace and repair these protein bonds to help the hair to become stronger and healthier once again.
Hair oil was for a while the answer to all hair care questions but now the focus is on the scalp!
