Dans cet article, des bio-indicateurs tels la Daphnia magna, ont été utilisés pour caractériser le risque d'une substance chimique. Note de contenu : - Test daphnie

pHIndex. décimale : 667.2 Colorants et pigments Résumé : Acknowledging the need to develop rapid and sensitive bacterial recognition approaches, we functionalised the tricyanofuran hydrazone molecular switch. Of significant interest in relation to the synthesised hydrazones is the formation of two different conjugated structures upon exposure to different pH values. Many bacteria release ammonia gas, which alkalises environments. Herein we report the synthesis of a tricyanofuran hydrazone having the function of a colorimetric pH sensor. The UV-visible absorption and fluorescence spectra exhibit reversible colour changes of the tricyanofuran hydrazone solution in acetonitrile under acid–base conditions. Our results indicate that the tricyanofuran hydrazone probe can identify the bacterial targets quickly with high sensitivity. The infected samples exhibit a significant colour change from orange to blue and in the mean time there is a decrease in fluorescence emission as a function of ammonia and volatile amines released from bacterial metabolites. This tricyanofuran hydrazone chromophore is proposed for use in food packaging with a pH-sensing capability. TannageIndex. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : A method for assessing safety in use of leathers by using a living organism — bioindicator fs proposed. lt has been assumed that extracts obtained from Ieathers containing harmful chemical substances cause disturbances in vital functions of the bioindicator that transforrns into changes in heat emission from cens. An affect of extracts on the bioindicator was observed by using an isothermal calorimeter. The activity of Tetrahymena pyriformis was illustrated with heat power curves. It has been found that power curves were specific to Individuel extracts used and different from the curves determined from investigation of bioindicator activity in water. An analysis of heat power value clusters was made and allowed similar bioindicator's responses to water and individuel extracts to be indicated. An indicator enabling leathers with a possible adverse affect on living organisms to be eliminated. This indicator is defined as the ratio of the total heat emitted by the tested system to the control system expressed as percentage. Tetrahymena pyriformisIndex. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : It has been assumed that the results of calorimetric measurements of heat emissions from the bioindicator cells in extracts taken from leathers (Part 1) are to be confirmed by microscopic studies and measurements of oxygen concentrations related to cellular respiration of Tetrahymena pyriformis. It has been observed that the exposure of the bioindicator in the calorimeter to a harmful extract caused behavioural, morphological and cytophysiological changes in cells. A reduced proliferation rate was also found. The kinetics of the oxygen concentration changes in samples containing the bioindicator and an extract was different from that of samples containing the bioindicator and water. Statistically significant differences between the average oxygen concentration in the systems were compared, thus indicating anomalies in respiratory processes. These results confirm that the changes in heat power values recorded in calorimetric measurements resulted from an effect of extracts on a living organism are related to disturbances in vital functions in cells.
