Although the volumes of hi-tech dyes will remain small in comparison to dyes for traditional applications, the value will be signifi- cant because of the higher price of these specialized dyes.Leather is a very complex and heterogeneous substrate. Once the animal has been slaughtered, the hide or skin has to be removed, cleaned, depilated, and tanned in the so-called “beam house” process. The term “hide” is used for the outer covering of animals with a body surface area of more than 1 m2 like bovines, and the term “skin” for that of smaller animals like sheep, goats, and pigs. Large proportions of sheepskins are used for fur production. Technique des plasmasIndex. décimale : 675.3 Technologie de la fourrure Résumé : In order to find out changes of the Rex rabbit hair under different Low Temperature Plasma (LTP) treatments, Rex rabbit hair fibres which were modified by oxygen, nitrogen, and air plasma, were examined by XPS, ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometery, Lab-eye software, HP-386 multi-angle gloss meter, YM-06A electronic single fibre strength meter, as well as by a Y151 fibre friction coefficient tester. The results show that oxygen plasma, nitrogen plasma and air plasma can all dramatically enhance exhaustion and fixation rate of Rex rabbit hair during dyeing. Treatment with air plasma and nitrogen plasma introduced more -NH2 to the surface of Rex rabbit hair fibres, promoting the reaction between -N1-12 and -SO3H of an anionic dyestuff in an acidic medium. Besides, the oxidation of oxygen plasma introduces polar functional groups such as hydroxyl or carbonyl, thus improving the hydrophilicity of Rex rabbit hair fibres. Compared with fibres without plasma treatment, the dyeing depth of fibres treated with oxygen, air, and nitrogen plasma has been significantly enhanced. ln addition, the rupture strength and elongation as well as glossiness of fibres reduces to a slight extent after LTP treatment with oxygen, nitrogen, and air. Ultimately, after oxygen, air and nitrogen plasma, the gap between the friction coefficients of against and along scale is narrowed, which can enhance the ability of the anti-felting performance. Tannage Résumé : Dialdehyde sodium alginate (DSA) is an alternative chrome-free tanning material for fur production. To obtain satisfactory resultant fur and provide suggestions for the usage of DSA in fur making, the general properties of DSA tanned sheep fur were systematically investigated. The tanning mechanism of DSA was analyzed and it was verified that DSA was mainly combined with collagen fiber by forming Schiff base covalent bonds while supplemented by a small number of hydrogen bonds and ionic bonds. Due to the acid sensitivity of Schiff base structure, DSA tanned fur had poor resistance to acid rinsing but had excellent resistance to washing and good fatliquoring performance. Also, it had good resistances to yellowing and reductant. After being retanned by chrome tanning agent, the fur was capable of enduring a high-temperature dyeing process (68 °C for 8 h). Overall, DSA tanned sheep fur had favorable properties under appropriate post-tanning processing conditions to manufacture light-colored or dark-colored fur products with desirable physical properties.
On distingue trois types.
Polyacétate de vinyleIndex. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : Using four carriers, Panus conchatus with the highly effective decoloration producing laccase was immobilized by the embedding method. By comparing their balling performance and the mechanical strength, the optimal immobilized carrier was determined. The feasibility of the immobilized Panus conchatus for decoloration of fur dye industrial wastewater was studied. The results show that the immobilized bio-balls have the higher dye decoloring speed and rate than those of the free Panus conchatus. The immobilized prepared by PVA complex embedding method have the better comprehensive performances so as to shorten the decoloring time and increase the decoloring rate. The decoloring rates of the immobilized bio-balls to the acid dyes and the disperse dyes are 98.09% and 91.47% respectively.
