Résumé : |
The main aim of this article is to put a polymeric waste material to a substantial use in surface coatings. Polyester waste obtained from the polyethylene-terephthalate manufacturing industry has been made compatible with glycerol and monoglycerides prepared from linseed oil. It has been tried to incorporate a higher amount of the polyester waste. The resulting compatible mixtures of polyester waste with glycerol and monoglycerides have been further reacted to yield polyester waste modified alkyds is slightly better than that of the corresponding conventional alkyds. |
