The technological advancements in the recent past were directed towards faster and more efficient grinding techniques, lower energy consumption and emission free work atmosphere. This led to evolution of closed media mills and innovation of new designs like CoBall Mill, Basket mill and Ultrasonic methods of dispersion. The developments in the grinding techniques were also accompanied by novel methods of raw material charging and mixing and thinning leading to emission free work environment.
An attempt has been made in this review paper to compile these developments and also to trace the trajectory which was followed to reach the present status. |
