Résumé : |
Many problems encountered in the ink industry are caused by the inks not having the desired rheological properties. Quite often when inks do not behave as intended they are modified on site and little attention has been paid in trying to understand the fundamental nature of the problems. Part of the reason for this was that the instrumentation was not available to aid this assessment. However modern rheometers enable the formulation ink technologist to simulate more closely the processes to which the inks may be subjected and thus assess, in the laboratory, how the ink should behave, rheologically, on-site. |
