Governmental regulations to control hazardous subustances and protect environment are tightening the grip over the paint industry in terms of reduction of usage of Volatile Organic Compounds. Regulations existing in the various parts of world pertaining to VOC emissions have been discussed here, namely US and European Regulations includng Rule 66, Clean Air Act, KWS 2000 and TA Luft. Methods of controlling VOC emissions, eg.use of supercritical fluids and bio filters have also been discussed. |
